"Follow God's example in everything you do, because you are His dear children." Ephesians 5:1

     As believers, we are called to follow the ways of the Lord. Some examples He gives us can be found in the Bible through the life of Jesus. What Jesus did, how He lived, and how He treated others are just a few examples of how we can choose to live our life. Not only should we follow Christ; but be imitators of Him as well.
     
     Do our friends try to talk us into doing things that we know are wrong? On occasion we might go along with what our friends are doing, but it may not always be the right thing. Sometimes the opinions of others and the way they live their life, may pull us away from what God's Word says.
     
     In Ephesians 5:1 Paul says, "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children".  God didn't tell us to go into the world and do everything the world does. Instead we are to follow God's example in everything we do and let Him be our light. As children of God, He knows what is best for us and loves us more than we can imagine.

     Follow Jesus today. Be an imitator of Him and don't get trapped in what the world says we should do. May the Lord bless you this week as you depend on Him to guide you!
