"...and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us." Matthew 6:12
We're all in the process of forgiveness. I would suggest that you get out of the place where you're being hurt, if that's possible. If you're being hurt and hurt again, it's hard to forgive. It might be wise for you to get yourself out of that situation. If it's a job, the mother-in-law or the father-in-law, or something like that, can you move? Can you hold off contact for a while so you're not injured again? If it's physical abuse in a marriage, you need to get out! Separate and get counsel. That's a crime and it needs to be dealt with. If you're abusing your wife (or your husband, for that matter), it's a crime. It's against the law. I'm not telling you to go and get a divorce, but I am saying that you need to stop sitting in that pain and get help! Go get help!
What might help is to write out what is bothering you. Write down the things that you might want to say to that person that hurt you. Write them down, and get them out of you. Write them a letter that you don't plan to send to them yet. Get it out of you, and get it on a piece of paper. What do doctors do when there is a boil on a person? Do they tell the person to hold it all inside? If you hold it all inside, you'll get gangrene and die! What does he do? He lances it, and that stuff comes out. Then, they look at it microscopically to see what the problem is.
When you've written down the hurts that are inside of you, you can see that perhaps the real issue isn't what you might have thought it was. Then you can work on forgiving the real problem.
