Nehemiah
Caring Enough to do Something
J. Mark Martin / Sep 18, 2011
Scripture: Nehemiah 1:1-3
The walls of Jerusalem are in ruins; burned, destroyed, lying in shambles 150 years after the Babylonian attack and the captivity began. The remnant left behind is unprotected and in constant danger; a broken people, fearful and depressed. News of their plight brings the important man, Nehemiah, to his knees in empathic human emotion and tears for his people. A study of rebuilding; hear a powerful message of restoration for the remnant and every child of God. Chapter one of Nehemiah begins an encouraging, historical and spiritually hopeful study; a teaching of God’s faithfulness, His love and mercy, His sovereignty, protection, and wisdom, and how adversity shapes each of us.
