Question / Issue
Does Satan make you suffer or die, or does God "CALL YOU HOME"? Can it ever be an accident? Or is the way one goes a planned event?

Answer / Solution

According to the biblical precedent detailed in the book of Job, Satan has limited power over the life of God’s children.  Specifically, he can only harm God’s children when given permission to do so.  Even then, the result of that suffering is God’s glory revealed.  In the account of Job, God does allow Satan to kill Job’s children, but not Job himself.  The prophet Samuel predicted to Saul that he and his sons would be killed in battle, but this does not equate to God having Satan kill them.  God “took” David’s son by Bathsheba, but Satan had nothing to do with that.  The way that God “calls us home” is a somewhat complex matter that is governed His sovereignty.

God certainly “calls us home”, but not in the sense that He decides to end our life arbitrarily on some day.  God is fully aware of every contingency or coincidence or whatever we might want to label the events and circumstance that make up our lives and their eventual end.  Scripture promises that “all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purposes.”  It is for these reasons that the death of any child of God is nothing like an accident but totally within the Will (plan) of God to bring about the greatest good.
