Question / Issue
How do I deal with anxiety?

Answer / Solution

Anxiety and worry may be placed in two categories; anxious reasoning and anxious feelings.  Anxious reasoning is thinking about possibilities in a way that produces fear, while anxious feelings can occur without conscious thought and sometimes without understanding why. Both of them can be unfounded; people worry about the future, work, health, imagined shortcomings and many other prospects, often without being able to explain why. You may just “feel anxious” without being able connect the feeling with any outward danger. It’s important to understand that the feelings are real, whether or not there is an explanation for them. To simply say, “you have nothing to worry about”, ignores the reality of the emotion, and the real problem. If left unattended, anxiety can lead to many physical and emotional difficulties.

Many people find relief from anxiety through an understanding of God and spiritual realities. People who are assured of God’s love can face uncertainty and fears without being overwhelmed with anxiety. In today’s fast-paced and stressful world, it’s more important than ever to be at peace with God, and to know that His love and care will help us through every difficulty.
