Question / Issue
My husband constantly wonders if his life would have been better had he and I not met. This hurts me deeply because I love him and think God brought us together. How do I deal with the pain and how should I pray for him?

Answer / Solution

It sounds like you've adopted a passive attitude toward the situation. Proper communication is essential to a healthy marriage. If your husband persists in bringing this up, you need to be just as persistent in asserting that you feel God has brought you together, and that it's certainly God's will for you both as husband and wife to respect and care for each other.

If it becomes clear that this is a serious concern for him, you should both see a Christian counselor or pastor for help. Certainly you can pray for him to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and to commit himself to God's purpose for his life.
