Question / Issue
I was born Jewish, but I am now saved. Is it possible to have a Christian wedding and incorporate some Jewish aspects (such as a chuppa and breaking of the glass) or should we consider a separate non-binding but ceremonial Jewish wedding?

Answer / Solution
You can absolutely incorporate these traditions into your wedding! The Bible upholds and endorses marriage, but you won't find a sample ceremony in there. The Christian ceremony that most of us are familiar with actually has most of it's roots in Roman tradition. It's clear that God expects us to honor the civil conditions for a legal marriage, and to honor our marriage vows before God, but obviously a civil marriage ceremony differs from place to place and in various cultures.
