Question / Issue
I have a friend shes a sister in Christ she was saved here at Calvary and she has a son and he lives with his father and he is a drug addict what can i tell her to help her out with out being judgemental about that shes has a lot of anger towards him at times i have showed her scriptures before about it please help so i can help her

Answer / Solution
I would continue in helping her see her need to forgive him.

Col 3:12-15

12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

I would encourage her to continue extending forgiveness to this person. Forgiveness is like an onion, it comes off layer after layer. Each time she begins struggling with the hurtful feelings extend forgiveness.

The concern with this level of pain is that a root of bitterness could begin to form. That is why God says not to let the sun go down on our anger, as she continues to release this person from her anger,  God will bring greater healing to her.
