| There are not many secular (non-Christian) musical groups/musicians that play morally decent music anymore. Pray that the Lord will give you discernment and wisdom about the different songs that you like. Also, you should sit down with your parents and ask them to help you evaluate what you want to listen to on that station. Here are some guidelines for you to consider about music and television and movies: What are they singing about? - Don't just listen because you like the music. The words are what is important. You can find any kind of Christian music that you like that will build you up spiritually and glorify Christ. Does it glorify Christ? 1 Cor 10:31 Does it have the appearance of evil? 1 Thes 5:22 - Most music has videos along with it. Is there profanity involved? Eph 4:29 Is the Lord's name used in vain? Exodus 20:7 Are occultic practices being practiced and encouraged? Lev 19:31 / Isaiah 8:19-20 Is disrespect and disobedience to authority being promoted? Deut 21:18-21 / Rm 13:1-7 Is Jesus Christ and/or our beliefs in Him being attacked, criticized, or mocked? Jn 15:18-25 Does your conscience bother you about what you are seeing or hearing?
