Question / Issue
I have been raised a Christian and I believe that Christ is my Lord and Savior; but, I have never been baptized. Does this mean I will not go to heaven if I were to die?

Answer / Solution

According to scripture, the only requirement for salvation is a declaration of faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-10).  Salvation comes through grace alone by means of the faith that is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9).  Baptism is an obedient response to a command of the Lord (Matthew 28).  It identifies the believer as such and is a sign of the New Covenant.  Your salvation is secure whether or not you ever get baptized.
