Question / Issue
Is it possible for a person to truely get saved, but not start living a Christian life until years later? I am thinking of the young people who accept Christ, but then it takes them 20 years or so to actually embrace their salvation and start living like a Christian.

Answer / Solution

Yes. Eph 2:8-9 says,
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is  the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Christian works are helpful for the rest of us to observe in respect to salvation, but God does not need more than faith from a repentant heart for a person to be saved.
