Question / Issue
If a Catholic believes in the Pope, and practices all of the church's traditions, believes in the Virgin Mary, the day of the dead, and says they are saved because they love Jesus are they saved?

Answer / Solution
What saves a person is salvation by grace through faith alone (Ephesians 2,8-9; Titus 3:5-7).  Many religions complicate the simplicity of salvation by grace through faith.  The Gospel message is that Jesus died for us, was buried and rose the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).  Nothing else is the Gospel (Galatians 1:1-9).
