| Was God in the burning bush or an angel? Scripture seems to say both. |

God was in the burning bush, talking with Moses, as the story bears out during their conversation. The term "the angel of the Lord" is used both of God's angels and also of the Lord Himself, as it probably is in the case of Samson's parents in "But the angel of the LORD said to him, "Why do you ask my name, seeing it is wonderful?"
