Many times there are things that aren’t bad in and of them selves but because they remind us of evil, “The Bar Scene,” it is best to lay them aside to attain to the greater good. That is, knowing better and becoming more like Jesus. I believe it would be very helpful for you and your wife to read Philippians 3 and see how the Lord speaks to your hearts as it relates to your question.
