I'm at a loss. I really want to like/love my stepkids but am having a difficult time. They're money-oriented and self-seeking. They don't believe in God. They'e unkind to others and ridicule the poor..I'm desperate..PLEASE HELP!

Answer / Solution

Your description sounds like a lot of people in the world that don't know Christ. Here are some thoughts that I have:

1. Ask God to let you see them through the eyes of Christ. It's for people like this that Jesus died. Those without Christ many times only focus on themselves and their accomplishments.

2. Could you love them if they weren't family? If yes, maybe your holding unto some unforgiveness for past hurts. If no, open your heart to loving all those who are without Jesus.

3. Pray for them and render unconditional love to them.

4. Keep walking with Christ and they will see by your life that being a Christian brings such peace and identity.
