Question / Issue
Would the world have been different if only Eve had sinned and Adam had not sinned.
Answer / Solution
Wow, good question. The Bible doesn't address this issue, but we could presume that she would need a Savior and the Lord would have died for her sins. Since Adam didn't sin and he was the representative head of the human race, it may not have plunged the entire world into sin. The Bible places the responsibility for sin on Adam as the following scriptures show: 1 Timothy 2:13-14 - "For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. 14 And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression." NAS Romans 5:14-15 - "Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come." NAS 1 Corinthians 15:22 - "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive." NAS
