Perhaps the reason for that is due to the fact that in Christ there is no such thing as “spiritual bondage,” at least in a negative sense.  If anything, we are His bond slaves…a glorious free will submission to his Lordship that provides protection from the ravages of bondage to the flesh.  It is more likely that the term “spiritual bondage” is being equivocated here with “fleshly bondage,” to the point of confusion.
