Should commentaries be used as a basis for a group Bible study?

Answer / Solution

Hopefully, the BIBLE is the basis for your group Bible study. But commentaries are certainly helpful, and some of them are designed to guide the group through Bible passages. This can be a good way of giving structure to the class. Obviously, commentaries are not inspired, so they should never become the ultimate authority on any topic and some are better or worse than others.
