Question / Issue

Before the invention of writing, how was the word of God passed on? Did the holy spirit guide the oral teachings?

Answer / Solution

Before the written word, God empowered people through the Holy Spirit to speak His Word and then carefully pass it down through meticulous oral tradition. (2 Peter 1:21)
