Question / Issue
What are the main differences between the Methodist and the Baptist?

Answer / Solution
Well it used to be that there were three major differences:

1).  Methodist's practice infant baptism, Baptists don't.

2).  Methodist church government is bishop-governed, Baptist church polity is that of independant congregational rule.

3).  Methodists believe that a believer can lose their salvation, Baptists don't.

The divide is even greater now that Methodists believe in the ordination of women and have ordained homosexuals.
