I grew up in the West Valley of Los Angeles, CA and graduated High School in 1968. These were tumultuous times as our country was in the midst of a cultural revolution and involved in an unpopular war. A large portion of our society rebelled against the establishment and just did their own thing of which I was a part. In 1966 I made the poor decisions of youth that set my course on a lifestyle of overt rebellion towards society and God.
In the early seventies while our country was going through moral upheaval there was another movement gaining momentum. It was the move of God. In Southern California during the “Jesus Movement” it seemed that God was in every conversation and His Spirit just could not be escaped. I responded by becoming even more antagonist towards God and found great pleasure in being hateful to those who called themselves Christians. This went on until Easter Sunday 1975, when I gave in to the tender persistent drawing of The Holy Spirit and accepted Jesus Christ as my savior.
The Lord has blessed me in every way. He has given me life eternal, a loving wife and ministry partner, three wonderful children and two beautiful grandsons. In 1976 God placed my wife and I in youth ministry to which we have been faithful all these years. Everyday I am allowed to live out my dream by serving the flock as Associate Pastor of Calvary Community Church. |
